The layout image recognition method comprises the steps of obtaining a layout template, and wherein the layout template comprises the position layout of a plurality of positioning symbols and the position relation between a to-be-recognized area in the layout template and the positioning symbols; obtaining a layout image to be recognized; positioning a plurality of positioning symbols in the layout image; determining a corresponding relationship between a plurality of positioning symbols in the layout image and a plurality of positioning symbols in the layout template; performing correction processing on the layout image according to the position layout and the corresponding relation to obtain an image correction result; determining a to-be-recognized area in the image correction result according to the position relation; and performing character recognition on the to-be-recognized area in the image correction result.
