Abstract

The invention discloses a method for distinguishing an electric vehicle from a fuel vehicle. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a thermal infrared image of a target vehicle; preprocessing the thermal infrared image to obtain a processed thermal infrared image, wherein the preprocessing comprises image enhancement processing and lane shielding processing; inputting the processed thermal infrared image into a trained neural network model, and outputting a vehicle type corresponding to the target vehicle through the trained neural network model, wherein the vehicle type comprises an electric vehicle and a fuel vehicle. According to the invention, the invention employs the neural network model to recognize the vehicle based on the difference between the electric vehicle and the fuel vehicle in the thermal infrared image, is higher in precision, and can obtain a better target detection result.
