The present invention provides a method for trapping toluene by using a deep eutectic solvent, the method comprises the following steps: absorbing toluene by using a deep eutectic solvent, the deep eutectic solvent comprises a substance A and a substance B, the substance A comprises any one of tetraethylammonium chloride, allyltrimethylammonium chloride, choline chloride or triethylbenzyl ammonium chloride, the substance B comprises any one of phenol, ethylene glycol or levulinic acid, and the molar ratio of the substance A to the substance B is 1: 1-1: 4. According to the method, methylbenzene is effectively recycled, safety is guaranteed, and the environmental protection problem of methylbenzene tail gas treatment is effectively solved.
