Abstract

The invention discloses an automatic equipment and method for bonding a glass panel of a water heater. The equipment comprises a rack, and a face shell positioning mechanism, a glue dispensing mechanism, a demolding mechanism, a pressing mechanism and a controller which are disposed on the rack. The face shell positioning mechanism comprises a horizontal reciprocating driving device and a positioning plate connected with the horizontal reciprocating driving device, wherein the positioning plate is provided with a positioning part used for limiting a face shell and at least two demolding through holes, and the demolding through holes are located in a face shell containing area of the positioning plate. The glue dispensing mechanism is arranged above a glue dispensing station of the positioning plate, and the glue dispensing mechanism comprises a three-axis displacement table device and a glue dispenser arranged on the three-axis displacement table device. The demolding mechanism is arranged below a glue dispensing station of the positioning plate, and the demolding mechanism comprises a first up-down reciprocating driving device and an ejector rod which is connected with the first up-down reciprocating driving device and is opposite to the demolding through hole.
