Abstract

The invention provides an intelligent system for predicting the rut depth of an asphalt pavement, and relates to the technical field of road engineering. Theintelligent system comprises a traffic axle load measuring device, a pavement structure temperature measuring device, a pavement rut depth measuring device and a pavement data processing device. The invention also provides a method for predicting the rut depth of the asphalt pavement, which comprises the following steps: preparing an experimental sample, establishing an asphalt mixture dynamic modulus calculation model by using a uniaxial compression dynamic modulus test, determining the asphalt mixture dynamic modulus of each structural layer, and determining the rut depth of the asphalt mixture of each structural layer by using a rut test; establishing a pavement structure rut depth calculation model by layering and calculating the top vertical pressure stress of each layer in an asphalt layer, obtaining the rut depth in an observation period, calibrating the rut depth with a measured value, establishing a pavement structure rut depth prediction model, and predicting the rut depth of the pavement structure. According to the system and method, the rut depth of the pavement structure is predicted, and a basis is provided for design and maintenance of the pavement structure.
