Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a switching method. The method comprises of allowing a target access network device to obtain session information, wherein the session information indicates a session to be switched from a source access network device to the target access network device,and the network slice associated with the session is a first network slice; and if the target access network device does not support the first network slice, acquiring a second network slice which is supported by the target access network device and corresponds to the first network slice, and performing switching preparation for the session according to the second network slice. According to the method, when the target access network device does not support the first network slice associated with the session to be switched, the target access network device does not release the session; the network slice of the session is mapped into the second network slice which is supported by the target access network device and corresponds to the first network slice to perform switching preparation on the session, so that interruption of the session in the switching process is avoided, and the service continuity of a terminal device in the switching process is guaranteed.
