Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for providing micro payment support for block chain incentive distributed data streaming and delivery. To receive blockchain-based payments to stream data resources to a plurality of users, a caching node first joins a payment authorized peer group and receives a notification when creating a micro payment pool. After delivering a portion of the data resource to the user, a service receipt signed by the recipient user is obtained and submitted to a payment server along with a payment authentication certificate. In return, an updated out-of-chain transaction is obtained from the payment server, where the ultimately updated out-of-chain transaction is submitted to the blockchain to ask for a total payment amount from the micro payment pool. Thus, for the unique requirements of data delivery and data streaming micro-payment, embodiments of the invention carefully compromise with respect to two competitive objectives: decentralized trust using a public ledger system and fast scalable transaction speeds at low transaction costs.
