9 results about "Micropayment" patented technology

A micropayment is a financial transaction involving a very small sum of money and usually one that occurs online. A number of micropayment systems were proposed and developed in the mid-to-late 1990s, all of which were ultimately unsuccessful. A second generation of micropayment systems emerged in the 2010s.

A method is provided for processing micropayments. Micropayments are financial transactions involving relatively small financial amounts that can be difficult for conventional transaction processing systems to handle in a cost-effective and expeditious manner. The improved method uses a virtual micropayment account managed by a transaction processor. The limit of the virtual micropayment account may be adjusted with credit reduction requests and credit reset notices that are sent from the transaction processor to the issuer bank. The issuer bank may use the credit reduction requests and credit reset notices to adjust a temporary credit limit of the credit account from which the micropayments are to be made.

Methods and systems of central bank digital currency facilitated micropayments

Disclosed are various embodiments of methods and systems for central bank digital currency (CBDC) facilitated micropayments. In at least some embodiments, a system can establish an event stream between a computing device and a client device in response to receiving a start session request, wherein the event stream includes at least a payment event. Then, the system can identify the payment event within the event stream, the payment event comprising a purchase amount. Finally, the system can transmit, in response to identifying the payment event, a digital currency transfer corresponding to the purchase amount to a digital currency network.

Microtransactions for web 3.0 and metaverse

Systems and techniques for facilitating microtransactions or micropayments are described. A method includes receiving, at a digicent service on a blockchain, a digital currency microtransaction request to transfer a particular amount of digital currency from a first digicent wallet account to a second digicent wallet account, the microtransaction being a fractional fiat currency transaction. The digicent service verifies the digital currency microtransaction request, including by confirming that a first tokenized payment source (such as tokenized payment card with financial NFT) is associated with the first digicent wallet account and exists as a valid smart contract on the blockchain; and confirming that a second tokenized payment source is associated with the second digicent wallet account and exists as a valid smart contract on the blockchain.

Microtransaction system

A method of effecting a transaction with a micropayment platform that includes a merchant-participant, a consumer-participant, a micropayment system, and a distributed ledger, the method includes receiving by the micropayment system from the merchant-participant a digital promise to pay document (DPP), validating the DPP by the micropayment system, the DPP including at least a payable amount, which includes an amount payable to the merchant-participant; sending a message to the merchant-participant indicating that the amount payable to the merchant-participant is available by checking an account associated with the consumer-participant; creating a transaction file based on the DPP, and recording the transaction file in the distributed ledger by the micropayment system; debiting from the account associated with the consumer-participant an amount corresponding to the amount payable to the merchant-participant; crediting an account of the merchant-participant with an amount indicated to be payable to the merchant-participant.

Methods and systems of central bank digital currency facilitated micropayments

Disclosed are various embodiments of methods and systems for central bank digital currency (CBDC) facilitated micropayments. In at least some embodiments, a system can receive an authorization request for a purchase, the authorization request can include a total transaction amount. The system can identify a payment token associated with the authorization request and obtain a plurality of payee wallet addresses. The system can then receive a transaction amount for each of the plurality of payee wallet addresses, such that a sum of the transaction amounts for the plurality of payee wallet addresses is equal to the total transaction amount. The system can then generate a CBDC transfer for each of the plurality of payee wallet addresses using a private key based at least in part on an authorization for the payment token to use a blockchain address, each CBDC blockchain transfer comprising a digital signature and transmit each of the CBDC blockchain transfers for the purchase to a CBDC blockchain network.

Cloud-based tokenization for value transfer

A cloud-based system manages tokens for tipping and small payments in service industries. Customers purchase tokens at point-of-sale (POS) terminals and / or Self-Service Terminals (SSTs), which are registered with unique identifiers in an enterprise or cloud-based database. These tokens can be physical objects with stamped or printed denominations. Customers distribute tokens to service workers, who redeem them for cash or goods. The system includes features like expiration dates, loyalty account linking, and token recycling. The system addresses the decline of cash tipping by providing a secure, flexible alternative that maintains the practice of rewarding good service. The system aims to solve problems such as unfair tip distribution, safety concerns with carrying cash, and the inconvenience of cashless transactions in tipping scenarios.

Wireless POS machine awakening method based on dynamic channel switching and transaction triggering

The invention discloses a wireless POS (Point Of Sale) machine awakening method based on dynamic channel switching and transaction triggering, which comprises the following steps: in a transaction triggering awakening state, generating a pulse by utilizing a payment peripheral to trigger a comparator through a transaction signal detection circuit, distinguishing small payment awakening or large payment full-function awakening through a logic gate, controlling awakening voltage, and starting a wireless POS (Point Of Sale) machine; starting an HDMI video encoder for power supply; in a transaction triggering process, sensing 2.4 G frequency band interference through an interference monitoring chip; in the transaction process, synchronizing a video frame to a new radio frequency channel and an old radio frequency channel through a dual-port DDR3; in the amount transaction process, payment data is directly connected to the encryption chip through a physical SPI bus without passing through the main control CPU, and meanwhile, the encryption chip and the HDMI video encoder use an independent DDR channel and do not share a memory for processing; and after the transaction is completed, the system restores the initial monitoring state. According to the invention, a part of wires in the use process are reduced in a wireless transmission mode, the potential safety hazard is reduced, and the use comfort is improved.
