In the embodiment shown, the rotor 4 comprises three blades 6, but the number may vary, eg the rotor may have two or four blades. Additionally, the wind turbine includes a control system. The control system may be placed inside the nacelle or distributed at multiple locations inside the turbine and communicatively linked.
