Problems solved by technology

[0005] Although slip and / or anti-block additives can be added to films to reduce roll blocking behavior, such additives can negatively impact film post-processing such as hot melt adhesive lamination
Additionally or alternatively, low molecular weight polyolefin elastomers that provide enhanced elasticity can migrate to the surface of the film and cause long-term blocking problems
Additives can be added to the film to prevent the migration of these elastomers, but such additives can lead to reduced elastic properties and increased stiffness of the film

Abstract

In accordance with at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, a multilayer elastic film includes a core layer, a first outer layer, and a second outer layer. The core layer comprises at least 75 wt% of a polyolefin elastomer, such as an ethylene / alpha-olefin block copolymer or a propylene-based plastomer. The first outer layer and the second outer layer each comprise at least 75 wt% of an ethylene-based copolymer wherein the ethylene-based copolymer is selected from the group consisting of: (I) greater than 50 wt% of ethylene, 5 to 16 wt% of an alpha, beta-ethylenically unsaturated C3-C8 carboxylic acid, and optionally 0.5 to 10 wt% of an alkyl acrylate; (II) 86 to 95 wt% of ethylene and 5 to 14 wt% of an alkyl acrylate; and (III) a combination thereof.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims priority to U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62 / 908,114, filed September 30, 2019, the entire disclosure of which application is incorporated by reference. technical field [0003] Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to multilayer films, and more particularly to multilayer elastic films comprising polyolefins. Background technique [0004] Multilayer films are used in a variety of applications including personal care products such as diapers, training pants, adult incontinence products and hygiene products, among others. The elasticity of such multilayer films can affect the fit of the product, particularly by accommodating the movements of the individual wearing the product. [0005] While slip and / or anti-block additives can be added to the film in order to reduce roll blocking behavior, such additives can negatively affect post-processing of the film such as hot me...
