Abstract

A cage segment for a rolling bearing, the cage segment comprising a central portion (16) extending in a circumferential direction and delimiting a plurality of through cavities for receiving rollers, the central portion (16) comprising a first wall (49) and a second wall, the first wall and the second wall extend in the circumferential direction and are provided with inner surfaces (20, 22) opposite each other and forming abutment surfaces for the end faces of the rollers. The cage segment further includes a first lateral shoulder (24) extending outwardly from a first wall (49) of the central portion and a second lateral shoulder (26) extending outwardly from a second wall of the central portion, the second lateral shoulder oriented at a right angle to the first lateral shoulder, at least one recess (30) which is open outwards is formed on each of the first lateral shoulder and the second lateral shoulder.
