According to one specific embodiment, the method comprises the steps that information, related to hard codes, in one or more hard code files is stored in a language configuration file, and the information related to the hard codes comprises a main key-to-be-edited character string existing in a key-value pair mode and position information used for indicating the position of the to-be-edited character string; modifying a character string to be edited in the hard coding file into a key value corresponding to the reference primary key; converting the language configuration file into an editable file in a specific format, so that a translator translates a to-be-edited character string included in the editable file; utilizing the translated character string in the editable file to update a to-be-edited character string corresponding to the primary key in the language configuration file; and updating the hard coded file based on the position information, the primary key and the updated to-be-edited character string. According to the embodiment, the hard coded file is electronically updated.
