The recording layer includes interleaved pits and lands in groove tracks. Wobble part is formed between each adjacent pit and land. The wobble part is composed of basic waveforms representing '0' and '1'. Basic waveforms have same period, but their proportion between first half and second half is different. Thus, preset information of optical recording media can be recorded on wobble part by using combination of the said two kinds of basic waveforms. The invention also discloses a circuit for reading out the said preset information. A wobble signal is picked out from tracking servo signal by using a band-pass filter. Wobble signal passes through a waveform shaping circuit so as to obtain digital wobble signal. Finally, a phase locked loop converts the digital wobble signal into time pulse generation signal with frequency being as twice as the frequency of wobble signal.
