Abstract

One-component and two-component fixatives are provided by underprinting or overcoating together with at least one ink printed onto the print medium. The one-component fixatives of the present invention include a polymer in the vehicle. The polymer is selected from vinyl polymers, condensation polymers and copolymers thereof and the glass transition temperature range of the polymer is -50°C to +100°C, the melting temperature range is 30°C to 150°C, and the molecular weight (weight average Benchmark) ranges from 3,000 to 100,000. Two-component fixing agent of the present invention comprises (1) a kind of reactive monomer or oligomer in binder, and this reactive monomer or oligomer is selected from isocyanate and epoxy-terminated oligomer, and (2 ) at least one second component selected from polyols, polyvinyl alcohols and base catalysts.
