The pollution-less non-metal friction material consists of brucite fiber 25-45 wt%, reinforcing fiber 5-25 wt%, adhesive 15-20 wt% and friction performance regulator 25-35 wt%. The preparing process features the normal temperature blank producing step increased between the mixing and hot pressing steps. The friction material may be used as the foundation material for clutch plate and brake lining plate.
