Abstract

The invention relates to a method consisting in: performing a transmission channel estimation using pilot symbols received; reconstructing the signal transmitted using the channel estimation from the signals received and transmitted by multiple transmission channel paths; determining an equivalent channel model as it is seen from the reconstructed signal using the channel estimation; reducing the interferences between the symbols of the reconstructed transmitted signal, said interferences resulting from a low spreading factor, with the aid of a lattice-based DDFSE detector with fewer states, using the channel equivalent model and delivering at output estimated values of the encoded symbols received; deinterleaving the encoded symbols; and subsequently decoding the estimated values of the encoded, deinterleaved symbols in order to reconstruct the transmitted data symbols.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a high bit rate radio receiver method and system for receiving signals in a radio system using Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) techniques. Background technique [0002] It applies, although not exclusively, to high bit rate (at least 2 megabits per second (Mbit / s)) mobile telephone systems such as the European Universal Mobile communication system (UMTS). The service includes high-speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) transmission to mobile terminals, using variable constellation modulation (QPSK, MAQ16, MAQ64) and low spread factor, the mobile terminal has no need for closed-loop power control and Characteristics of link adaptation. [0003] Information is transmitted in the mobile telephone system using multiple access techniques. Some systems use Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), where network users are distinguished from each other by the frequencies each uses...
