Abstract

In a syringue comprising a syringe body hollow on the inside, a plunger slidable in the syringe body and provided at the rear with a shaft that can be operated manually, an injection needle engageable to the front end of the syringe body by means of a needle-carrier, there is attached a guard mechanism comprising a sleeve, a spring and a abutment member for the spring. The abutment member is mounted in the head of the syringe and the spring is disposed between the sleeve and the abutment member. The sleeve can pass from a retracted position of use, wherein the needle protrudes forward therefrom to a forward position of safety, wherein it coves the needle.
