Embodiment Construction

[0043] Figure 1a-1b A first embodiment of the floor according to the invention is schematically illustrated. exist Figure 1a-1b In , the floor is shown with a mechanical locking system with tongues 23 and grooves 20 for locking in the vertical direction. In addition, the locking system also includes a protruding bar 21 extending under the adjacent floor 1' and supporting a locking part 22 which cooperates with a locking groove 24 opening downwards of the adjacent floor 1'. Figure 1a and 1b The mechanical locking system shown may be of the type disclosed in WO 94 / 26999 or WO 99 / 66151, although other types of locking systems may be used. Figure 1a-1b The edge portions shown may be the long sides 25a, 25b or the short sides 26a, 26b of the floor panel 1 .

[0044] The flexible substrate 10 is arranged in Figure 1a and 1b The underside of the floor 1 is shown. The resilient substrate 10 provides resilience and cushioning properties to the sports floor. The elastic subst...

Abstract

A floorboard for making a resilient floor by joining to at least one neighbouring, substantially identical floorboard (1'), so that joined upper neighbouring parts (7, 7') of the edge portions of the floorboards (1, 1') together define a joint plane (F), perpendicular to the main plane (P) of the joined floorboards, comprises a resilient base (10) which is arranged on the underside of the floorboard (1, 1') and which extends beyond said joint plane (F), supporting layer (11) which is arranged between the underside of the floorboard (1) and the resilient base (10), and a locking system, which is arranged along at least two parallel edges (25a, 25b; 26a, 26b) of the floorboard (1) and integrated with the floorboard, for mechanical joining, vertically (D1) and horizontally (D2), of the floorboard (1) to the neighbouring, substantially identical floorboard (1'). Furthermore, a kit of parts and a method for installation of resilient floors as well as a method for manufacturing resilient floors are disclosed.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to flooring for resilient or energy absorbing surfaces, such as sports or other sports surfaces. Background technique [0002] The term "playground surface" means a resilient surface having sufficient elasticity, vibration or cushioning properties that the user requires it to be suitable for athletic activities, dancing or other activities on such a surface. [0003] There are three main types of sports floors: i) point elastic floors, which consist of an elastic soft layer (i.e. carpet) glued directly to a hard base surface; ii) surface elastic floors, which consist of a relatively bending-resistant rigid upper and iii) a combined structure comprising carpet and joists or blocks. [0004] Category ii) and others include document US 4,819,932 which discloses a sports floor in which a mechanically connected solid floor is laid on a sub-floor consisting of a larger elastic base plate which imparts elasticity to the ground. ...
