Embodiment 1

[0028] Embodiment 1 of the present invention is a protective cover for a discharge lamp which has an IC chip holding information on the discharge lamp and destroys the IC chip when the cover is removed from the discharge lamp.

[0029] figure 1 It is a conceptual diagram of the protective cover for discharge lamps in Example 1 of this invention. This figure shows the state in which the protective cover is attached to the discharge lamp. exist figure 1 Among them, the discharge lamp 1 is a short-arc discharge lamp. The sealing tube 3 is a part that seals the luminous tube and connects and holds the electrodes. Chip 6 is an IC chip that holds information about the discharge lamp. The cable 7 is a lead wire for reading and writing of the IC chip. Terminal 8 is a terminal for reading and writing of the IC chip. The protective cover 10 is a cover for protecting the surface of the arc tube. The divided portion 11 is a cutout for removing the protective cover.

Embodiment 2

[0039] Embodiment 2 of the present invention is a protective cover for a discharge lamp having a non-contact IC chip holding information about the discharge lamp.

[0040] Figure 7 It is a conceptual diagram of the protective cover for discharge lamps in Example 2 of this invention. exist Figure 7 Among them, the chip 6 is a non-contact IC chip. The transceiver 51 is a wireless communication device that performs reading and writing of non-contact IC chips.

[0041] The detailed structure and function of the protection cover for discharge lamps in Embodiment 2 of this invention comprised as mentioned above are demonstrated. By using a non-contact IC chip, discharge lamp information can be read out through non-contact information communication instead of wired communication. The transceiver 51 on the side of the lighting device performs wireless information communication between the discharge lamp 1 and the lighting device 50 . When the discharge lamp 1 is attached, when ...

Abstract

The present invention provides a discharge lamp protecting cover and lamp lighting device, the discharge lamp protecting cover prevents an error in fitting a luminescent lamp and forgetting removal of a protective cover. The surface of the luminescent lamp is protected by the protective cover (10) so as to reduce a damage that is caused even when the luminescent lamp containing an enclosed high-pressure gas bursts during transportation. The protective cover (10) is provided with an IC chip (6), which retains information on the luminescent lamp. The information is read out of the IC chip (6) when the protective cover (10) is fitted to the lighting device, this prevents an error in fitting the luminescent lamp. As removing the protective cover (10) breaks the IC chip (6), it makes impossible to read the information out of the IC chip (6). Thus, removal of the protective cover (10) is detected to prevent forgetting removal of the protective cover (10).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a protective cover for a discharge lamp, and more particularly, to a protective cover that prevents the discharge lamp from being damaged or attached to foreign matter when the discharge lamp is mounted on a lighting device, and prevents errors in the discharge lamp installation, thereby enabling safe lighting. Background technique [0002] short-arc discharge lamps such as Figure 8 As shown, it is composed of a central luminous tube 2 , sealing tubes 3 formed on both sides of the luminous tube 2 , and a sleeve 4 combined with the outer side of the luminous tube 2 . A short-arc discharge lamp is used as a light source of an exposure device for patterning semiconductors, liquid crystal panels, printed wiring boards, and the like. There is also a short-arc discharge lamp in which rare gases such as xenon (Xe) gas, krypton (Kr) gas, and argon (Ar) gas are sealed in a luminous tube at room temperature at a pressure of 1 or...
