Embodiment Construction

[0023] According to the drawings, it can be seen that in one of the possible embodiments of the present invention, the device 1 includes a liquid-absorbing core 2, and the lower end of the liquid-absorbing core is submerged in a bottle 3, and the bottle 3 is filled with a liquid to be evaporated. A substance which impregnates the entire absorbent core 2. Heating means 4 comprising cemented resistors are arranged near the upper part of the wick 2 for heating said area.

[0024] The device 1 of the invention comprises a cylindrical tube 5 which houses a part of the wick 2 .

[0025] The tube 5 has an opening 6 at the side and is fitted in a housing 7 which forms part of a device 1 on which the tube 5 is rotatable in a plane, that is to say the tube 5 can rotate around it. The axis rotates freely, but cannot move vertically. The resistor 4 is firmly attached to the housing 7 so that rotation of the tube 5 changes the position of the opening 6 relative to the resistor 4 and thus...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and device for the evaporation of volatile substances, such as aromatic substances and/or insecticides. According to the invention, the substances are evaporated using electric heating means which heat a wick that is impregnated with the substance to be evaporated. The invention enables the substance to be evaporated efficiently by optimising the use of the heat energy generated by the aforementioned electric heating means. The inventive device comprises a rotary conduit which is equipped with at least one opening, such that a portion of the wick is housed in said conduit. In this way, the quantity of heat flux transmitted to the wick and, consequently, the degree of evaporation are controlled according to the position of the conduit in relation to the heating means.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for evaporating volatile substances, such as fragrances and / or insecticides, wherein the evaporation is accomplished by raising the temperature of a wick impregnated with the substance to be evaporated by means of electric heating means. [0002] In the present invention, the degree of evaporation of volatiles can also be controlled. Background technique [0003] Devices for evaporating liquid volatiles are known which comprise a wick, wherein one end of the wick is in contact with the volatiles in the bottle, so that the volatiles rise through the wick by capillary action until the wick is completely soaked, The liquid-absorbent core is made of porous material. [0004] Typically, these devices include heating means, such as PTC resistors, which heat the upper part of the wick in a targeted manner, which facilitate the evaporation of the substance, causing it to escape in the form of vapor to th...
