Abstract

A technique of providing a mobile communication system in which useless consumption of resources because of route redundancy is avoided, the load of the processing by an LSR such as setup of an LSP is lightened, the signaling route is not lengthened, and the delay of change notification of an LSR to which a mobile terminal is connected is reduced. According to the technique, a second edge device (101b) acquires the identifier of a label switched path established for a mobile terminal (100) and the address of the communication party edge device (101c), outputs a path establishment request packet for requesting the communication party edge device to establish the path to the second edge device, and uses as a branch node a packet transfer device having first received the path establishment request packet out of the packet transfer devices on the label switched path for the mobile terminal. The branch node additionally supplies a path establishment request packet, establishes a branch path to the second edge device, and changes the transfer destination.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a mobile communication access system, a packet transfer device, and a path re-establishment method for controlling path changes in a label switching technology such as MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) for transferring data using labels. Background technique [0002] As for the conventional label switching technology, a standard protocol technology constituting an LSP (Label Switched Path) is disclosed in Non-Patent Document 1 below. The technology disclosed in Non-Patent Document 1 is a protocol that constitutes a point-to-point path, and makes it possible to exchange PATH (path) messages and Resv messages between an edge ingress LSR (label switching router) and an egress LSR, thereby forming Label paths, and reserved frequency bands. On the other hand, standardization is underway to form paths for point-to-multipoint paths for multicasting and the like, and this technique is disclosed in Non-Patent Document 2 bel...
