Benefits of technology

[0019] As described the above, according to the invention of claim 1, the rails can be mounted using the lower spaces formed by the gaps between the chest body and the side surfaces of the drawer whose width becomes the largest.
[0020] Therefore, in comparison with the related art in which the rails are provided on the side surfaces of the wider upper portion, reduction of the capacity of the drawer can be prevented and improvement of storability can be achieved.
[0021] According to claim 2 of the invention, the corners of the lower portion of the drawer are reinforced by the lower fixed surface and the upright surface of the L-shaped rail.
[0022] Consequently, the rigidity of the drawer can be enhanced.
[0023] According to claim 3, the widthwise dimension of the drawer is set to be decreased as it goes downward, so that the opposing side surfaces are inclined. Accordingly, the draft angle of the metal mold at the time of resin molding can be set, and the drawers can be stored in a stack.

Problems solved by technology

Consequently, there arises a problem that the capacity of the drawer is reduced.

Embodiment Construction

[0032] Referring now to the drawings, an embodiment of the invention will be described. FIG. 1 illustrates a chest 1 in this embodiment, and the chest 1 is used for storing clothes, small articles, and so on.

[0033] As shown also in FIG. 2, the chest 1 includes a chest body 11 which constitutes a frame and three rectangular container-shaped drawers 12, . . . provided in the chest body 11.

[0034] The chest body 11 includes three frame members 21, . . . connected in the vertically direction, and the frame member 21 at the bottom is provided with leg portions 23, . . . on a bottom surface 22 thereof. The upper frame member 21 is provided with a top plate 24, and the drawers 12, . . . are held between the respective frame members 21, . . . and between the upper frame member 21 and the top plate 24 so as to be capable of drawing out therefrom.

[0035] The frame member 21 is formed of synthetic resin and, as shown in FIG. 3, the frame member 21 includes a rectangular bottom plate portion 3...

Abstract

The invention provides a chest in which storability of a drawer is improved. The drawer is formed by a metal mold which can be opened in the vertical direction so that left and right side surfaces, a front surface, and a rear surface are formed to be inclined outward as they go upward by a draft angle. Metallic outer rails which are paired with inner rails in the chest body are provided on the lower portions of the side surfaces. The outer rail is provided with a lower fixed surface to be fixed to a shoulder portion on the side of the lower surface of the drawer and an upright surface extending upright from the lower fixed surface to be fixed to a set-back portion of the lower portion of the side surface of the drawer.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0001] 1. Field of the Invention [0002] The present invention relates to a chest for storing clothes, small articles, and so on. [0003] 2. Description of the Related Art [0004] Hitherto, a chest is used for storing clothes or small articles and so on. [0005] The chest is composed of a chest body and a drawer stored in the chest body so as to be capable of being drawn out therefrom. [0006] The drawer is formed of resin using a metal mold and is formed into a rectangular container-shape opening upward. Rails are provided on the side surfaces of the drawer along the upper edges thereof, and rails which are paired with these rails are extended in the chest body. [0007] Accordingly, the drawer can be taken in and out easily by the movement of the rails on the drawer along the rails in the chest body. [0008] However, in the chest in this configuration, it is necessary to secure spaces for arranging the rails between the side surfaces of the drawer and the chest...
