[0025] The tape 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises a layer 2 of aramid yarns 3 loosely woven with weft yarns 4 . This layer 2 accommodates a thermoplastic film 5 , 6 on each of its sides.

[0026] In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the two membranes 5, 6 are wider than the layer of yarn 3 and extend laterally from the layer of yarn 3 in areas opposite each other, the membranes 5, 6 will be glued together. These adhesive areas 7 thus constitute the edges 8 of the tape.
