Embodiment Construction

[0015] exist figure 1 As shown, a control device 2 , which controls a drive coil 4 of a not further shown electromagnetic drive of an electromagnetic switching device, for example a contactor, is driven via a control input 6 by a control voltage Ue. The control voltage Ue can optionally be connected to a DC voltage or an AC voltage. When the control voltage Ue is connected, a smoothed operating voltage Ub appears at the output of the rectifier device 8 , which is mainly used for the power supply of the control device 2 and the drive coil 4 . The rectifier arrangement 8 is connected in series with a DC voltage converter 10 which generates a significantly reduced smoothed hold voltage Uh from the operating voltage Ub. After switching on the control voltage Ue, the rapidly rising starting voltage Ub triggers a time relay 12 whose time characteristic curve determines the duration of the pull-in phase of the control device 2 . Triggered timing relay 12 activates a power supply 14...

Abstract

The invention relates to a control circuit ( 2 ) for an electromagnetic drive. Said circuit contains first and second electronic switching elements ( 16 to 22 ), which in conjunction with a timing element ( 12 ) subject the drive coil ( 4 ) to a corresponding direct current in the starting phase or in the maintenance phase. A starting current (Ua) and a maintenance current (Ub) are provided by means of a current source ( 14 ) that is controlled by the timing element ( 12 ) and a direct current converter ( 10 ) with downward control.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a control device for an electromagnetic drive, in particular for an electromagnetic switch. Electromagnetic drive devices generally consist of a drive coil, a magnetic core and an armature. Background technique [0002] The document DE 299 09 901 discloses an electronic drive control for a contactor drive, which essentially comprises a rectifier circuit fed via the control input, a drive coil and a drive coil fed by the rectifier circuit. A series circuit of pulse-width-controlled transistor switches, two voltage divider circuits at the output of the interrogating rectifier circuit and isolated on the input side by an isolating diode, and an electronic device with a microprocessor and two memories. The electronics output a control signal to the transistor for the pull-in and hold-in operation of the drive coil, wherein the corresponding pulse width in the pull-in or hold-in operation is determined on the basis of the output si...
