The invention provides a method and a system for realization of off-line push (Push) as well as a wireless application protocol (WAP) gateway, wherein, the method comprises the followings: whether a movable terminal receiving Push information is on line or not is determined, if yes, the invention sends out the Push information downward to the movable terminal; or the invention can notice the network side to launch a packed data protocol (PDP) context activation process and sends out the Push information downward to the movable terminal which has been activated successfully. The invention also provides an off-line Push realization system and a WAP gateway. The method and the system for off-line Push realization as well as the WAP gateway provided by the invention can shorten transmitting time of the off-line Push information and relieves burden of a short message service center (SMSC).
