Embodiment Construction

[0049] In order to make the object, technical solution and advantages of the present invention clearer, the present invention will be further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples.

[0050] FIG. 2 is a schematic flowchart of a RAID synchronization method in an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Figure 2, the method includes:

[0051] Step 201, after a member disk is offline, record each stripe in the RAID to which the member disk has changed data.

[0052] Step 202, after the offline member disk rejoins the RAID, synchronize the data corresponding to the recorded changed stripes in the member disk.

[0053] So far, this process ends.

[0054] It can be seen that in the above process, only the data corresponding to the recorded stripes in the member disk is synchronized, instead of performing full-disk synchronization, so the synchronization time can be reduced. Since the synchronization time is reduced, the probabil...

Abstract

The invention discloses a synchronous method of an independent RAID. After the offline of member disks, each band is changed according to the recording data; after the offline member disks re-attending to the RAID, only the member disk and the corresponding data of the recorded each band are synchronous, but not whole disk synchronization, thereby being able to reduce the synchronous time. Because the synchronous time is reduced, the occurrence probability of another offline member disk during the synchronous can be lowered, thereby being able to lower risk of data loss. The invention can adopt a preset data changing recording table to record each band with changed data after member disk being offline. The data changing recording table has small occupied storage space and is easy to be provided, thereby facilitating the technical scheme of the invention being easy to be promoted. The invention also discloses an RAID which can realize synchronization.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to redundant array of independent disks (RAID) technology, in particular to a RAID synchronization method, a RAID capable of realizing synchronization, and a RAID controller. Background technique [0002] RAID is aggregated by multiple disks, which can provide higher access speed, better availability, and data redundancy protection while providing large capacity. The disks in the RAID may be referred to as member disks of the RAID, and each member disk not only stores data externally written to the disk, but also stores data used to restore other member disks. [0003] During the process of reading and writing data on the RAID, the member disk may be offline due to various reasons, such as bad sectors on a member disk, or a member disk being removed by mistake. At this time, the RAID will change from a normal state to a critical state or a degraded state. [0004] Among them, the critical state refers to: some member disks of th...
