Abstract

The present invention relates to a method used for transforming oxygen-containing compounds into light olefins and mainly solves the problem of the low selectivity of the products when the oxygen-containing compounds are used for preparing the light olefins. The method adopts the following steps to well solve the problem: (a) in the reaction zone of a reactor, the raw materials that comprise the oxygen-containing compounds and zeolite catalysts react under the effective conditions to generate products, which comprise the light olefins and by-products, and the zeolite catalysts with coke; (b) at least part of the zeolite catalysts with the coke is regenerated so as to remove part of the coke; the index of carbon loss in the reaction and generation is guaranteed between 0.001 and 0.1; thus at least part of regenerated catalysts can be prepared; (c) the regenerated catalysts return into the reaction zone of the reactor; (d) the steps from (a) to (c) are repeated. The method can be used for the industrial production of the light olefins.
