Abstract

The invention discloses a compensation device for thermal expansion and cold shrinkage of cable. The device comprises a connection frame and a compensation unit; wherein, the connection frame is arranged on a line tower and provided with at least two fulcrums used for connecting the two connection parts of the cable; the compensation unit is connected with the connection frame and used for automatically adjusting the distance between the two fulcrums to compensate the thermal expansion and cold shrinkage of the cable length between two high voltage line towers. The device is provided with the compensation unit used for automatically adjusting the distance between the two fulcrums to compensate the thermal expansion and cold shrinkage of the cable length between two high voltage line towers, so in summer the compensation unit shortens the distance between the two fulcrums to compensate the thermal expansion of the cable length and in winter the compensation unit enlarges the distance between the two fulcrums to compensate the cold shrinkage of the cable length. Therefore, the cable length between two line towers remains unchanged basically so that the drooping height of the cable remains the same and a lower coil point keeps invariant distance with the ground at the safe height, thus totally avoiding possible safety accidents of background technology, enhancing the flexibility and the shock strength of the cable, prolonging service life and lowering the height of the line towers.
