Problems solved by technology

However, this method only involves the application of IPG, and does not involve IPG adjustment. It can only use IPG to transmit information in a fixed format, which cannot meet the transmission needs of various information; at the same time, management information cannot be transmitted in real time, and it must wait until the end of the MAC frame and IPG appears. After that, the transfer of management information can be completed by replacing Idle
[0025] To sum up, in the process of realizing the present invention, the inventor found that the above-mentioned technology is not fixed because the time of IPG appearance is not fixed, the shortest duration of IPG is only 96bits, and the longest is Not fixed, so it is difficult to directly use IPG for additional information transmission at the PHY layer

Embodiment 1

[0062] The request carries the size, etc. of additional information that needs to be transmitted.

[0063] Step 102: When the packet gap adjustment module is working normally, monitor and judge whether the PHY layer requests transmission gap for additional information, if so, go to step 103, otherwise, go to step 108.

[0064] Step 103: After receiving the request from the PHY layer, the packet gap adjustment module judges whether the buffer space is sufficient according to the size of the additional information, and if yes, executes step 104; otherwise, executes step 107.

[0065] Step 104: The packet gap adjustment module suspends the data transmitted from the MAC layer to the PHY layer, and puts the data to be transmitted from the MAC layer to the PHY layer into the cache.

[0066] The data transmitted from the MAC layer to the PHY layer is normal data, and the packet gap adjustment module suspends the transmission of these normal data, puts the current data to be sent into...

Embodiment 3

[0103] The physical layer sending and receiving module 403 is configured to receive the transmission gap sent by the packet gap adjustment module 402, and send additional information to the peer device in the transmission gap.

[0104] Wherein, the packet gap adjustment module 402 includes:

[0105] a cache unit 4021, configured to cache the data sent by the media access control layer sending module 401;

[0106] A replaceable identifier generating unit 4022, configured to generate a replaceable identifier;

[0107] The multiplexer 4023 is configured to send the data in the buffer unit 4021, the replaceable identifier in the replaceable identifier generating unit 4022, or the data sent by the media access control layer sending module 401;

[0108] The physical layer sending and receiving module 403 includes:

[0109] A data sending and receiving unit 4031, configured to receive the data sent by the multiplexer 4023, and send the data to the peer device;

Abstract

The invention provides a method, system and device for transmitting extra information by pack gap, belonging to network communication field. The method comprises that transmitter obtains transmission gap for transmitting extra information and transmits extra information at transmission gap, while transmits normal data beyond time of transmission gap; receiver receives data, then extracts extra information and restore it to complete medium access control frame. The inventive system comprises receiving device and transmitting device. The transmitting device comprises medium access control layertransmitting module, pack gap regulating module, physical layer transmitting and receiving module; the receiving device comprises physical layer transmitting and receiving module, pack gap regulatingmodule and medium access control layer receiving module. The invention accomplishes real time transmission for physical layer extra information without enlarging network band breadth by regulating occur time and length of pack gap.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of network communication, in particular to a method, system and equipment for transmitting additional information through packet gaps. Background technique [0002] According to the IEEE 802.3 standard, the PHY (Physical Layer, physical layer) layer of Ethernet is located between MDI (Media Delated Interface, Media Media Related Interface) and MII (Media Independent Interface, Media Media Independent Interface), including PCS (Physical Coding Sublayer, Physical encoding / decoding sublayer), PMA (Physical MediumAttachment, physical medium access sublayer) and PMD (Physical Medium Dependent, physical medium dependent sublayer). Among them, PMD is an optional sublayer. The main functions of the PHY layer include encoding the transmitted data and superimposing the encoded signal on the physical line, recovering the encoded signal from the physical line and decoding it to form the received data; the PHY layer also superimp...
