Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a backup protection device of an electromagnet . A first yoke iron is fixed on the upper part of a first bracket; a second bracket and an armature are rotatably fixed on the middle part of the first bracket; the second bracket is fixed to the first bracket through a first rotating shaft; the armature is fixed to the second bracket; a spring connects the first bracket and the second bracket; and the spring force of the spring enables the armature and the yoke iron to be separated from each other. When short circuit fault occurs, a current travels through the backup protection device of the electromagnet, and the electromagnetic force between the yoke iron and the armature enables the both to be absorbed by each other. The backup protection device has a small volume, and can be completely used in a small capacity plastic shell circuit breaker. The device can directly acts on the back surface of a pull rod of the circuit breaker, thereby greatly reducing the time required by short circuit movement, and improving the capacity of short circuit protection. In addition, the device can enable the circuit protection function of the circuit breaker to be more complete, particularly to a small capacity electronic circuit breaker.
