Abstract

The invention provides a backlight model and a liquid crystal display (LCD) device adopting the backlight model. The backlight model comprises a light guide plate, two line sources and two reflection frames having receiving space, wherein, the two line sources are respectively contained in the receiving space of the two reflection frames correspondingly, and are arranged closely to the side of the light guide plate; the two reflection frames are matched with each other to enclose a containing space, so as to clamp and contain the light guide plate. In the backlight model, the two reflection frames directly clamp and fix the light guide plate, thereby avoiding using a gum frame, reducing the assembled elements and improving the assembly efficiency.
