The method comprises the functions such as monolayer rock debris description, multilayer rock debris information management, lithologic logging curve drawing and the like. The monolayer rock debris description includes automatic recognitionand manual recognition, wherein, the automatic recognition comprises the recognition of macroscopic and microcosmic colors as well as rock description; the features of the automatic recognition are as follows: as to macrocosmic description in the automatic recognition, colors and lithologic features are directly extracted after the removal of single-layer rock debris image background and then identification is conducted separately with respective classifier; oppositely, in the microcosmic description, the image is firstly separated after the removal of the background, secondly each single-grained rock debris is extracted and then color and lithologic features are exacted for respective identification, and at last the area of the monolayer rock debris with same lithology is calculated so as to obtain the ratio between types of rock debris and to draw a logging curve figure; and during manual recognition, the types obtained through automatic recognition can be corrected and loaded in a training sample database for further upgrading classifiers and improving the recognition rate.
