Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for extracting volcanogenic massive sulphide ore deposit on seabed, which comprise the following steps that: (1) a seabed mining vehicle, a seabed conveyor system, a seabed collecting system and a seabed excavating mechanism are placed on the seabed from a new-moon pool in the middle of a surface workboat; (2) the seabed mining vehicle is started to move to an working face, then a cutting head drive device of the excavating mechanism arranged on the seabed mining vehicle is started and controlled to carry out excavation and cutting operation, and under the excavation and cutting action of the cutting head, sulfide ore is crushed and the crushed sulfide ore falls into an ore chute; (3) the collecting system is started to convey the sulfide ore in the ore chute to an intermediate bin; and (4) the conveyor system is started to convey the sulfide ore in the intermediate bin to the surface workboat. The invention also comprises a corresponding device.
