A plasma display device is provided with an image signal conversion circuit (40) for converting an image signal into image data; a data electrode driving circuit (52) for driving a data electrode based on the image data; a power calculating circuit (62) for calculating power consumption of the data electrode driving circuit (52) based on the image data; and a temperature calculating circuit (61) for calculating temperature of the data electrode driving circuit (52) based on the image data.
