Abstract

The invention discloses a device and a method for regulating a pair of back to back inner and outer spacers of an angular contact bearing. The relationship between axial pretightening force and friction of the spacers is firstly calibrated; the bearing and the outer spacer are arranged on a bearing seat in the calibration process; a balancing weight of the pretightening force presses on the bearing; a digital display type pull and push dynamometer is used for measuring the friction of the outer spacer which corresponds to the pretightening force; then, the inner spacer is added; the balancing weight of the pretightening force with twice of the weight presses on the bearing; the digital display type pull and push dynamometer is used for measuring the friction of the outer spacer; and whether the thicknesses of the inner and the outer spacers are correct is judged by comparing the friction with the calibrated friction. For simulating the temperature of working conditions, the device is provided with a heating device for heating the bearing.
