Abstract

The invention provides an object detecting system and an object detecting method. The object detecting system comprises a surrounding member, a reflection subassembly, a linear induction pick-up unit, a light source module and a data processing module, wherein the surrounding member is used for defining an indicating space and an indicating plane arranged in the indicating space in order to indicate a target position by an object and has a contrast relation with the object; the reflection subassembly is positioned at the edge of the indicating plane and arranged on the surrounding member; the light source module is coupled to the surrounding member and used for irradiating the indicating space; the linear induction pick-up unit is arranged on the corner periphery of the indicating plane and used for defining pick-up points and retrieving integrative image signals; and the data processing module is used for processing the integrative image signals and deciding the object information of the object positioned in the indicating space. By using an image energy analysis method, the object detecting system and the object detecting method can effectively reduce required subassemblies of the traditional optical touch-control system in order to achieve the purposes of reducing cost and simplifying structure.
