Problems solved by technology

As a result of this, there are problems such as poor physical strength of the polarizer after drying, and easy breakage in the processing direction when it is temporarily wound up.
[0004] The moisture permeability of cellulose triacetate is high, and there is a problem in the polarizing plate bonded as a protective film, such as degradation, etc.
[0005] Aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol-based resin that is commonly used as an adhesive for laminating polyvinyl alcohol-based polarizers and cellulose triacetate when bonding a protective film made of a resin with low moisture permeability to a polyvinyl alcohol-based polarizer There is a problem that the adhesive strength is insufficient, or the appearance of the obtained polarizing plate is poor
This is because a resin film with a low moisture permeability is generally hydrophobic, or water, which is a solvent, cannot be sufficiently dried due to a low moisture permeability.

[0200] (1) Preparation of photocurable adhesive composition

[0201] After mixing the components in the compounding ratio (unit: part) shown in Table 1, defoaming was performed to prepare a photocurable adhesive liquid. In addition, the photocationic polymerization initiator (b1) was mix|blended as 50% propylene carbonate solution, and was shown by the solid content amount in Table 1.

[0205] Corona discharge treatment was applied to the surface of a cellulose triacetate film with a thickness of 80 μm [trade name "Fujitaku", manufactured by Fujifilm Co., Ltd.] containing an ultraviolet absorber, and a bar coater was used to cure the corona discharge treated surface. The respective adhesive liquids prepared above were applied so that the final film thickness was about 3 μm. A polyvinyl alcohol-iodine polarizing plate was attached to the adhesive layer. In addition, corona discharge treatment was app...

Abstract

This invention provides a polarizing plate and a laminated optical component using the same. The polarizing plate has a polyvinyl alcohol based polarizer in which a bicolored pigment is oriented by adsorption; and a protection film formed with a transparent resin laminated on at least one surface of the polarizer through an adhesive agent layer. The adhesive agent layer is formed by a photocurable adhesive agent composition containing (A) 100 parts by weight of a cation polymeric compound, (B) 1 to 10 parts by weight of a photo cationic polymerization initiator, (C) 0.1 to 2 parts by weight of a photo-sensitizer showing the maximum absorption with respect to the light having the wavelength longer than 380 nmm, and (D) 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a naphthalene based photo-sensitizing auxiliary agent represented by the following formula (I) shown in the description; wherein R1 and R2 each independently represents an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms). Additionally, this invention provides a laminated optical component.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a polarizing plate in which a protective film made of a transparent resin is bonded to a polarizing plate made of a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin. The present invention also relates to a laminated optical member obtained by laminating the polarizing plate on another optical layer. Background technique [0002] A polarizing plate is useful as one of optical members constituting a liquid crystal display device. A polarizing plate usually has a structure in which protective films are laminated on both surfaces of the polarizing plate, and is incorporated in a liquid crystal display device. It is also known that a protective film is provided only on one side of a polarizer, but in many cases, a layer having other functions, such as optical functions, doubles as a protective film instead of a simple protective film. In addition, as a method for producing a polarizing plate, a method of subjecting a uniaxially stretched pol...
