The nuclear island cooling system for the double reactor units also comprises a first temperature measuring meter which is used for detecting fluid temperature at the outlet of the RRI side of the heat exchanger. The invention also provides a cooling method for the nuclear island cooling system for the double reactor units, when the temperature of the outlet at the RRI side of the heat exchanger is more than 35 DEG C, the backup SEC sub-system is started.
