Problems solved by technology

[0008] In the process of realizing the present invention, the inventor finds that the prior art has the following disadvantages: MAG, as the first hop router of the access link attached to the MN, registers with the LMA on behalf of the mobile node; through the two-way tunnel established with the LMA Forwarding data for mobile nodes, its single point of failure will cause all mobile nodes accessing the network through the MAG to lose reachability, which will seriously affect the user experience in the network. Therefore, a fault-tolerant mechanism for MAG is urgently needed in PMIP technology

Embodiment 1

[0054] Embodiment 1 provides a method for performing MAG handover in the system according to the embodiment of the present invention. The method needs to synchronize the context information of the MN to be handed over. The switching reasons in this embodiment include that the P-MAG and the LMA are unreachable or the P-MAG is overloaded. In this embodiment, both the P-MAG and the T-MAG can be directly connected to the LMA, or both the P-MAG and the T-MAG are in the management domain of the LMA.

[0055] Figure 4 It is a flowchart of signaling interaction for MAG handover in the system according to Embodiment 1 of the present invention. like Figure 4 As shown, the method for performing MAG switching in the system of Embodiment 1 of the present invention includes:

[0056] Step S401, the MPM obtains the information of the P-MAG;

[0057] For example, the MPM learns that the P-MAG and the LMA are unreachable or the P-MAG is overloaded through the heartbeat message;

Embodiment 2

[0066] Embodiment 2 provides a method for performing MAG handover in the system according to the embodiment of the present invention. The handover method does not need to synchronize the context information of the MN to be handed over, and the method is applied in a scenario where the P-MAG fails. In this embodiment, both the P-MAG and the T-MAG can be directly connected to the LMA, or both the P-MAG and the T-MAG are in the management domain of the LMA.

[0068] Step S501, the MPM obtains the information of the P-MAG;

[0069] For example, the MPM learns the information of the failed P-MAG through the heartbeat message.

[0070] Step S502, the MPM sends a MAG switch request to the T-MAG; the switch request carries the identifier of the P-MAG, and indicates that the reason fo...

Embodiment 3

[0077] Embodiment 3 of the present invention provides a method for performing MAG switching in the system of the embodiment of the present invention. The application scenario of this method is that the MPM is located in the T-MAG, and the context information of the MN to be handed over needs to be synchronized. In Embodiment 3, both the T-MAG / MPM and the P-MAG can be directly connected to the LMA, or both the T-MAG / MPM and the P-MAG are in the management domain of the LMA. Image 6 It is a flowchart of signaling interaction for MAG handover in the system according to Embodiment 3 of the present invention. like Image 6 As shown, the handover method in Embodiment 3 of the present invention includes:

[0078] Step S601, the T-MAG / MPM learns that the P-MAG is overloaded through a heartbeat message;

[0079] Step S602, synchronizing the context information of the MN to be handed over between the T-MAG / MPM and the P-MAG;

[0080] Step S603, T-MAG / MPM initiates a handover regist...

Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a method and a device for switching a mobile access gateway (MAG) in a proxy mobile Internet protocol (PMIP). The method comprises the following steps of: receiving an MAG switching request which comprises information of the MAG to be switched; judging whether context information of a mobile node (MN) to be switched needs synchronizing with the MAG to be switched or not according to the information of the MAG to be switched, and if so, synchronizing the context information of the MN to be switched with the MAG to be switched; sending a switching registration request to a local mobility anchor (LMA), so that the LMA updates mobile session binding information of the MN to be switched, wherein the switching registration request comprises the information of the MAG to be switched and a context information synchronization instruction of the MN to be switched; receiving a switching registration reply from the LMA, wherein the switching registration reply comprises the context information of the MN to be switched when the context information synchronization instruction indicates that the context information of the MN to be switched is not synchronized with the MAG to be switched; and providing mobility management for the MN to be switched according to the context information of the MN to be switched. The method improves the fault tolerance of the MAG and realizes load balance.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the communication field, in particular to a switching method and device for a mobile access gateway in PMIP. Background technique [0002] In the prior art, a host adopting a traditional IP (Internet Protocol, Internet Protocol) technology uses a fixed IP address for communication. During the communication process, its IP address must remain unchanged, otherwise the communication between IP hosts will be interrupted. When a mobile node (MN, Mobile Node) moves between different networks, the IP address will change, and session continuity cannot be guaranteed. [0003] To solve this problem, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF, The Internet Engineering Task Force) proposed Mobile IP (MIP, Mobile IP), which is a mobility management technology based on the IP layer, which can make the mobile node maintain The IP address does not change, thus ensuring the continuity of the business. Currently, MIP has two versions: Mobile I...
