The measuring device (1) is characterised in that the measuring device (1) comprises a measuring rack (2), further comprising at least two rack supports (5, 6, 7), whereineach rack support (5, 6, 7) has an inner end, said inner ends being connected to each other, a rotatable measuring holder (3) adapted to rotate in a plane which is perpendicular to central axis of the cylinder, further comprising at least one measuring unit (9), wherein said measuring unit (9) is adapted to provide a measurement in said plane and substantially radially with regard to the cylinder (17), a rotation motor (4), wherein said measuring rack (2) and said rotatable measuring holder (3) are attached to each other, and said rotatable measuring holder (3) is rotatable relative to said measuring rack (2) by said rotation motor (4).
