Abstract

The invention relates to a method for calibrating a light source. In one embodiment, lights emitted by a standard light source and a light source to be calibrated are captured by a standard image sensor so as to respectively obtain standard and nonstandard images. According to the standard and nonstandard images, standard and nonstandard luminance responses are respectively generated. The light source to be calibrated is adjusted till the nonstandard luminance response is same as the standard luminance response. In another embodiment, the lights emitted by the standard light source and the light source to be calibrated are captured by the standard image sensor, according to the sampling output of the standard image sensor, the standard and nonstandard chrominance responses are respectively generated so as to compensate a sensor to be detected.
