Abstract

The invention provides an offline downloading method and an offline downloading portal service system for terminal equipment. The method comprises the following steps that: the terminal equipment accesses the Internet, and selects resources to be downloaded by a portal website server; the server verifies the identity and right of the terminal equipment, starts a new downloading agent thread according to verification results, and periodically communicates with the terminal equipment to acquire current downloading conditions; and once losing touch with the terminal equipment, the server awakensthe downloading agent thread according to the latest downloading information received from the terminal equipment, and continues a downloading task from a breakpoint. The terminal equipment can obtain the latest downloaded data from the agent thread after being online again. In addition, the server determines the number of the downloading agent threads according to a user level, and if the user level is higher, the determined number of the downloading agent threads is more. Compared with the prior art, the invention improves the downloading efficiency of the terminal equipment, and improves user experiences and user stickiness.
