Abstract

The invention discloses a forging process of forged rings, and the process comprises the following steps: 1) heating an ingot billet, wherein the metal content of the ingot billet is not less than that of two forged rings; 2) performing multiple upsetting and chamfering treatment on the ingot billet after heating, and then punching a center hole on the ingot billet; 3) reaming the center hole of the ingot billet through a reaming tool; and 4) cutting the ingot billet after reaming into the two forged rings. The two rings can be produced through one billet, thereby increasing the deformation quantity of the forged rings, particularly increasing the axial deformation quantity, and reducing the loss of axial performance during the shaping process; furthermore, as the volume of the ingot billet is increased, the temperature drop is slowed down; and the feeding quantity is reduced, the cot is reduced by about 20%, the forging speed is improved above 3 times, metal flow is improved, the process is optimized, the purpose of improving the three-directional performance of large forged rings, especially the axial performance is achieved, the axial performance is improved by 40-80% in comparison with national standard or American standard ASTMB247, and the axial performance is close to the tangential performance.
