The paint spray gun 10 also includes a nozzle housing 14, a spray cap 16, a fluid coupler 18, a fluid cap assembly 20, a fluid chamber 22, a pressure line 24, an air coupler 26, a trigger 28 and a trigger lock 30 mounted to a platform 32 . During operation, fluid chamber 22 is provided with the fluid desired to be sprayed from paint spray gun 10 . Abstract

An air-assisted sprayer includes a platform, a fluid chamber, an air reservoir, a spray cap, a pressure line, a fluid reservoir and a poppet valve. A fluid chamber is connected to the platform to hold a volume of fluid. The air reservoir extends through the platform and is configured to receive pressurized air. The spray cap is connected to the platform to receive pressurized air from the air reservoir. A pressure line connects the air reservoir to the fluid chamber to pressurize the volume of fluid. A fluid reservoir extends from the fluid chamber to the platform to provide pressurized fluid to the spray cap. The poppet valve is in fluid communication with the pressure line between the volume of fluid and the air reservoir to prevent fluid from entering the air reservoir.
