Abstract

The present invention relates to alternative methods of diluent injection for gas turbine NOx emissions control, and in particular to methods for delivering diluent fluid streams (steam, CO2, N2, etc.) Methods and systems for gas turbine emissions management for conventional fuel operation such as light distillate oil or natural gas. The diluent injection system delivers the desired diluent to fuel ratio over the emissions required operating range of the gas turbine. The diluent injection method is to couple the auxiliary fuel passage to the gas turbine compressor exhaust cleaning system so that the diluent mixes with the compressor exhaust. A stream of mixed compressor discharge purge air and diluent is injected through the unfueled combustion fuel nozzle passages into the gas turbine combustor to achieve emissions assurance requirements.
