The protocol conversion equipment comprises: a POWERLINK bus transceiver, a POWERLINK bus protocol controller, a main control unit, an HDLC bus protocol controller and an HDLC bus transceiver. The main control unit comprises: a CPU, a program memory, a configuration memory and a data memory. The CPU uses a NiosII chip of an RISC processor containing 32 bits. In the invention, the advanced 32 bit processor is used to connect with the POWERLINK and HDLC protocol controller and perform an automatic execution analysis and a conversion algorithm to data contents received by the bus. Interconnection communication of POWERLINK real-time Ethernet and the HDLC on-site bus can be realized.
