The invention discloses a digitalized clinometer and a measuring method thereof, wherein the clinometer comprises a processor, an inclination sensor, a filtering unit, a power system and a digital readout division rotary table; the inclination sensor provides the inclination angle with high resoluation, the filtering unit filters the analog signal which is output by the inclination sensor, high-precision analog-to-digital conversion is carried out on the filtered analog signal which is output by the inclination sensor through the processor, digital signal filtering is carried out in the processor, so inclination output information is really reflected; angle conversion is carried out on the signal which undergoes the digital processing through the processor, the digital readout division rotary table is utilized to test the data which are required by the linear compensation of the inclination sensor, so the appropriate linear calibration coefficient is calculated; and after the test, the processor utilizes the calculated linear calibration coefficient to linearly compensate the measured angle data. The invention can provide the measurement accuracy of 20 arc second at normal temperature, can simultaneously ensure the maximum drift of plus or minus 0.03 DEG C with the temperature range of minus 40 DEG C-85 DEG C, and has obvious advantage compared with the existing digitalized clinometer.
