Abstract

The method involves precharging a direct current (DC) voltage intermediate circuit (7) at an input of an inverter (3) e.g. three-phase inverter, from an alternating current network (4). Charging current flowing from the network into the circuit is rectified by freewheeling diodes of an inverter bridge for the precharging process. An intermediate circuit voltage of the circuit is adjusted to a preset value by the inverter. The value is preset to be smaller than an open circuit voltage of a photovoltaic field (2) and larger than a network peak voltage. The field is connected by the circuit. An independent claim is also included for a device for supplying electrical energy from a photovoltaic field into an alternating current network.
