Embodiment Construction

[0036] According to the Coulomb criterion of rock sample strength theory, shear failure will occur in rock samples under triaxial compression, and the strength criterion is:

[0037] τ=c+σtanφ (1)

[0038] In the formula: c is the cohesion of the rock sample, in MPa;

[0039] σ is the normal stress, the unit is MPa;

[0040] φ is the friction angle of the rock sample;

[0041] The normal stress and shear stress on the shear plane of the rock sample under the ultimate stress condition can be used as the principal stress σ 1 and σ 3 Expressed as:

[0042] σ = ( σ 1 + σ 3 ) 2 + ( σ 1 - σ 3 ) 2 ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a shear strength measurement method, in particular to a method for measuring the shear strength of a discontinuous shear plane of a rock by utilizing three-shaft compression. The method comprises the following steps of: S100, preparing a rock sample required by a three-shaft compression test; S200, carrying out the three-shaft compression test on the rock sample, wherein an axial load is applied after confining pressure application till the rock sample is sheared and damaged and generates residual deformation; S300, measuring an angle between the shear plane and the horizontal direction; S400, setting a plurality of grades of confining pressures and carrying out the three-shaft compression test grade by grade; and S500, calculating positive stress and shear stress according to the test data and a rupture angle of the rock sample and fitting relation curves of the positive stress and the shear stress by utilizing a least square method to obtain the shear strength. The method has the beneficial effect that the residual deformation is utilized for replacing a cement pouring process to carry out shear test on the discontinuous shear plane of the rock sample, so that the shear strength of the discontinuous shear plane of the rock sample can be quickly and accurately obtained.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for measuring shear strength, in particular to a method for measuring the shear strength of discontinuous shear surfaces of rocks by means of triaxial compression. Background technique [0002] In rock slope engineering, the most important part of studying the stability of rock slopes is to study the spatial geometric characteristics and mechanical properties of the discontinuous surface of the rock mass and the mechanical characteristics of the expected sliding shear surface. The most important mechanical property in the mechanical characteristics of the shear surface is the shear strength, which is generally expressed by the Coulomb criterion. [0003] The shear strength test of the discontinuous surface of the indoor rock sample is mainly carried out by the weak surface direct shear instrument, such as figure 1 shown. Because the sample of the discontinuous surface of the rock sample is difficult to process into a...
