Abstract

The invention discloses a high-performance low-complexity decoding method of block product codes TPC (Turbo Product Code), which is based on a TPC decoder comprising a BLLR (Bit Log Likelihood Ratio) calculation module, a synchronization word detection module, a diagonal interleaving resolution module and a soft-input-soft-output iterative decoding module. The decoding method disclosed by the invention includes the three steps of: received symbol sorting according to the degree of reliability, systemic searching and soft outputting and computing. Compared with other methods, the decoding method disclosed by the invention simplifies the procedure while the same or even better performance is remained or the performance is greatly improved under the condition of the same complexity; and the decoding method results in chips or IP (Intellectual Property) core products with higher rate, lower power consumption and higher performance. The decoding method can be widely applied in wireless communication systems and wire communication systems. Compared with conventional decoders, the TPC decoder used in the decoding method is improved in the aspects of structure and performance, and compared with the decoders with optimal performances, the TPC decoder used in the decoding method has the advantages that the complexity is greatly reduced.
